You looked at your follower count today and decided it wasn't enough. 350 story views, 650 followers, maybe 99,000, and somehow the number on the screen always needs to be higher before you'll let yourself believe the sales are coming. That belief is doing more damage to your income than any algorithm ever could, and this episode pulls it apart.

The 350 Views Wake-Up Call
SPEAKER_00Hello everyone and welcome back to the Abundant and Align podcast. I have a bone to pick. It's 7 a.m. in the morning. I just made my coffee. I'm sitting in my lounge room and I felt really called to pick up the microphone and shift your perspective around something that is quite literally repelling the manifestations in your business. This has come off the back of a conversation I had with a client yesterday on a coaching meeting. She is in the middle of a launch, which is very exciting, and she mentioned that her story views were only at 350 people. And the angle she was taking was that 350 people weren't enough to be getting in front of and launching her program to. Imagine if there were 350 women in the clinic with you right now, all wanting to learn from you, watch your stories, be a part of your life, be a part of your business, actively show up for you every single day. That's a lot of people. And I said to her, this has really triggered something in me because it seems to be such a common conversation that is being had online, in my business meetings, at events, and that is a suddenly a certain number on a dashboard just isn't enough anymore. And I've heard women say this whether they have 2,000 followers or a hundred thousand followers. Suddenly, that number on the screen always needs to be higher. And since when, in this case, is 350 people, not a lot of people. I also raised the similar question at the event I spoke at on Sunday, and someone in the crowd mentioned she had only 650 followers. And I said the same thing to her. Since when is 650 people not a lot of people? Again, imagine if they were in the house with you right now or in your office with you right now. Like that is that is a lot of people. And this is a reason why I get so pissed off with social media, because the only reason women are thinking a large number in the hundreds or the thousands is not a big enough number is because there is advice out there telling you that it's not. This advice, which, as I mentioned, is repelling manifestations in your business because your frequency is tuned into lack, because it's not enough, it's never enough, you're not enough, and therefore you are not creating enough results in your business. So I wanted to pull apart some advice that I know you would be seeing on social media because I see it a lot. And again, I want to not only shift your perspective, but I want to make sure your brain believes it. Because once you believe a different story around your numbers and you focus on something entirely different in your business, you'll find those numbers just naturally increase anyway. But not only will the numbers increase because the numbers are useless, your income will grow. The number of clients who actually want to purchase from you at your beautiful premium prices will actually grow because that's really what we want, right? We don't
When Social Media Makes Nothing Enough
SPEAKER_00actually want followers, we don't actually want likes, we don't actually want someone to reshare our post. We want what comes after all of that, and that is growth in the business, and growth in the business looks like money in your account. So the advice that I know is circulating the internet and has done for ages is that a percentage of your followers will buy from you. And I mean these percentages change all the time, which is another reason why none of it's actually true. And I'm gonna explain why it's not actually true in a second, but let's just say, for argument's sake, the advice is only two percent of your followers will actually buy from you. Everything in this universe is energy. The energy, the particle, does not give a shit about a percentage of followers buying from you before it will collapse into matter. The energy is moving around and it will collapse into matter depending on what you focus on. It's not buzzing around in the universe going, oh, what's the percentage of followers that turn into sales? That's that's how I'll collapse into physical matter. Like that doesn't even make sense. It does not even make sense. And if you haven't listened to the episode I did on Wednesday, I shared with you the order of creation. And the order of creation, the top being source, energy, God, whatever you want to call it. Again, I like to think in scientific terms, so energy, top of the order of creation. The second plane is the mind, so your thoughts, your assumptions, your imagination. And the final step in the order of creation is physical matter. Energy creates physical matter, not a percentage of followers that turn into sales. So we need to remember this and we need to stop making meaning of advice that is limiting us in business. Because what happens is this you see, so you feel, so you are, so it is. What I mean by that is when you see a particular number on your dashboard, on your social media, and then you have this underlying belief picked up from limiting advice that a certain a certain number of followers is what you need to see, or a certain percentage of those followers will buy from you, or X amount of people will only do this. You then believe it, you then adopt the state of being in accordance with that belief, which is I need more, it's not enough, I'm not doing enough. You are then sending out a broadcast of lack and you will create lack in your reality. And this is why you may be doing everything right in your business right now, but you keep butting heads with that same income ceiling because you are driving everything in your business with an energy of I see lack, so I feel lack, so I am lack, so I create lack. So we need to do a few things. Firstly, we need to ignore limiting advice that has just been made up somewhere along the line and then believed by the masses until it feels like it's truth. It feels like it's truth because when you look around your perception of your own reality, it includes a lot of that advice. And that's why it's fair enough that you do have quite a concrete advice that you do need X amount of followers before you can make X number of dollars in your business or a percentage of followers or email subscribers will buy from you. It makes sense that that belief feels so firm because if your reality includes a lot of that evidence and therefore your brain is really focusing your attention on it, it would feel very real for you. Remember, our beliefs, our identity is in accordance with our reality, and vice versa. And so if you were constantly consumed by this advice, it's so normal that it feels very real for you. However, we need to change the meaning we're attaching to numbers so that you actually create the results that you want to see in your business as opposed to revenue that stalls or
Why The 2 Percent Rule Fails
SPEAKER_00attracting the same kind of clients who have such a limiting budget and no room to move, and it really restricts you to do the work that you can do with your clients in your area of expertise, or the clients that walk in the door and they're just annoying. You know what I mean? Like you are so ready to work with such a high caliber of client, and yeah, this is how we go about that. So, like I said before, you see, so you feel, so you are, so it is. So, we need to interject this somewhere so that you stop assuming the numbers on your dashboard aren't enough. Firstly, you can change the meaning you are attaching to those numbers, and so go back to what I said at the start. Since when is 350 people not a lot of people? I have genuinely been in a conversation with someone who had a hundred thousand followers, and they said to me in a really frustrated way, their followers had dropped to 99,000 followers. Like, I am sorry, what is this effed up world we live in? 99,000 followers. Damn it, you poor thing. Like, what the actual fuck? That is so much people. So we need to change the meaning you're attaching to the number, and you need to look at the number how you want, so that it creates the outcome you want. What I mean by that is when you look at your followers, look at that number like it is a lot of people full of clients who want to buy from you, and that number will create the income results you want to see. Or the likes you're getting on your social media, the engagement you're getting on your posts. Look at that number and believe it is enough to still create the results you want to create. Now, I would be lying if I said I've never got caught up on a follow account or engagement, because I definitely have early days in business. I was obsessed with getting that number higher until I did this work and really understood energetic creation and how our reality is created through the scientific lens, and suddenly those numbers were irrelevant because, like I said, I don't care about followers, I care about clients. I don't care about that number on my phone, I care about the sales at the end of the day. And so what I did was I started to shift the meaning I was attaching to the followers I had and made it enough, decided it was enough, and not only decided it was enough, decided it was full of clients who were raving fans and who wanted to buy from me. I also had this belief that at any moment a new follower could find my page, love my brand, and buy from me. So I also eliminated this belief that a prospective client needs seven exposures before they'll buy, or they need X number of like months or weeks in my community before they'll buy. I just believed I have this magnetic energy and I use really great messaging, and so you could find me and follow me, and within weeks buy from me. And I've actually had that. I've had clients follow me, send me a message asking about one of my spaces, and then enroll in my space. And my spaces aren't super cheap, so it just proves that if you believe something, it can manifest, but you have to believe in something that would create the outcomes that you actually want to see. So change the meaning you are attaching to these numbers in your business and look at it like it is enough. Because then what we create is you see, but you feel something different, so you are something different, so it is something different. So even if that particular reel absolutely flopped, I did a trial reel the other day and it got one view. One view, how is that even possible? And I actually thought it was a pretty good reel. But anyways, it got one view, but I didn't look at that one view and go, oh my god, that means my content sucks and no one wants to buy from me anymore, and I'm doing something wrong. And do people even work with coaches anymore? Maybe the coaching industry is too saturated. No, I actually looked at that number and laughed and just went again. I didn't make it mean anything. So even if you see something that is genuinely lack, like one view, I'm sorry, I didn't even know that would be possible. You see genuine lack, but you still feel something different. So you are something different, so you create something different. Like I didn't let that mean anything about me or my potential or the growth of the brand. It was just the number one on my screen. So shifting the meaning you are attaching to the numbers, or until you do this work on yourself, because like I said, there is a reason why you see a number and immediately have an underlying belief
Make Your Numbers Mean Abundance
SPEAKER_00around that number and then think and feel in accordance with it and create a reality that's equal to it. Because it's so ingrained in you, it's all you know. So you have X amount of years of unlearning to do before you can learn a different belief towards these numbers, but also just the creation of your reality. So that's why the work we do in the collective is so important because this subconscious reprogramming work has to happen before you can genuinely be someone who turns, is this is this even a saying, dust into magic. Before you can actually be someone who defies logic, who still makes so much money, no matter how many followers you have, or whether that particular reel got engagement or not, in order for you to be one of these women in business who are just winning and who just seem lucky when everybody else is complaining about the algorithm, you have to have the subconscious program underneath it. Because we can only create something if we have a correlating subconscious program. And so when you do this work in the collective, not only are you suddenly making more money and becoming really known in your industry and working with these incredible clients and speaking on stages and appearing on podcast episodes, but you just do it no matter what. No matter what the economy is like, no matter what the algorithm is doing, no matter, no matter how many competitors are in your industry, you just do it regardless. And it's because you have the subconscious program behind it all. So until you've done that work, if you are extremely triggered by your numbers and you are one of those people who looks and obsesses over your stats and then makes it mean something about your growth that day, you need to stop looking at those numbers. So my clients will come to me and they'll say, Jess, I'm having a day. I'm doubting the launch goals. I set this revenue goal and I'm feeling quite short and I'm spiraling and I'm having a day, which we all do have these days, often in entrepreneur, it's an actual roller coaster. And my first question is, what did you do just before the doubt came on? Because there's always a trigger. You may wake up in the morning and you feel so excited for the possibilities of your day, the sales that will roll through the door, the clients that will come to you, the money, the growth. You just feel so magnetic. And then you go and do something to bring you out of that state and back into the state that for many women in business is very familiar, and that is lack, struggle, and then you're in that state of being. And then you move through your day in a completely different energy to the one you woke up in and create results on that frequency, which could look like finishing the day not where you wanted to be when you first woke up. So identifying what the trigger for doubt is for you, and stop participating in the trigger. So if checking your engagement on that reel creates a meaning about you and your potential, which then flows into an effect, stop looking at the engagement on your social media and just continue to believe that you attract beautiful clients and you make money no matter what the number on that screen is saying to you. Or if you check a dashboard stat, I actually have a client, she had a goal to hit 10k before July, and she sent me a message last night saying she has done it, it is in the bag. But one of the things I have been telling her to do, because she was one of those people who would quite regularly check her stats, and I always said to her, When you're checking your stats, why are you checking your stats? What I mean by that is what frequency were you in just prior to checking? And it's usually doubt and uncertainty. There was a point where you really believed you would see the number you want to see on your dashboard, and then uncertainty crept in. So you thought you better just check, just to make sure, just
Stop Checking Stats From Doubt
SPEAKER_00to see. Again, if you fully trusted that something would be there, you wouldn't go and check. I actually gave an example to my client on a meeting the other night. She was also checking her stats from a place of uncertainty. And I said, You don't go and check to see if your daughter is still in her bed in the middle of the night. Her daughter's 13, so she's not out and about. You just know she's safe and sound, sound asleep in her bed. There is just this belief, there is just this knowing, 100% trust and certainty that your 13-year-old daughter is in her bed. If you didn't trust that, if there was a level of uncertainty, you would go and check. So whenever you are checking up on things, checking your engagement, checking your followers, checking your dashboard, ask the question: why am I doing this? Am I doing it because I'm uncertain the result I want to see isn't there? And if so, don't do it because you are going into that task with a frequency of uncertainty. And therefore, you will create a result that matches that frequency, which is not seeing the number you want to see on the dashboard, on your on your engagement, whatever it may be. Stop checking up on things and just trust. And I appreciate you can't go through your entire business never checking your stats. But until you have worked on this muscle of certainty, of expectation, until you have a subconscious belief that you create the results in your reality, no matter what a number on your dashboard is saying, you have to avoid these triggers or at least eliminate them for as long as you possibly can so that you can hold a different state of being in your business, the kind of state of being that would actually create the results that you want to see. So that's my little riff, and this is particularly for those who are the kind that regularly notice when you lose a follower, or you regularly notice if a particular post didn't perform very well, and you make that mean something about your potential for the rest of the day. Again, go back to the order of creation. Everything is energy. Energy collapses into physical matter depending on what you are focusing on, depending on the state of being you are in, as the vessel that energy travels through in order for it to become physical reality. You see, so you feel, so you are, so it is. Is that equation helpful for you currently, or is it keeping you limited? And if so, we need to interject somewhere along that line so that no matter what you see, you still feel in a way that you need to, so that you are something that can create the reality that you want to manifest into physical form. Hopefully, this has helped. I actually come up with a cool tagline the other day about conversations like this, and it really is I shift perspectives for a living and then make your brain believe it. And I think that is a badge that I will happily wear because again, it means that you can defy logic, it means you can timeline jump, it means you can just create really incredible results in your business and in your life, no matter what is happening in your external world, because you continue to you continue to decide the meaning of it all. Okay, we're gonna leave that there. If any of this hit a sweet spot for you, it's a pretty big indication that the work we do inside the collective is very much needed because the reality is you will keep creating a reality that's
The Collective Invitation And Closing

And so if you just know that you need to be someone greater, thinking better and feeling better, and adopting a different state in your business in order to create something different, then it's the work that you will master in the collective. Also, how helpful has this little conversation been for you? These light bulb moments, these expansive conversations, these shifts in perspective are so important when you are running a business, so important in life, because we only know what we know, and if we are within our little bubble where everyone's thinking and feeling the same, and then we open up our social media and we say the same thing, it's quite difficult for you to think something differently. It's quite difficult for you to have a new perspective that would create a new result. So it's so important to be around a fresh perspective, fresh conversations, be around a body of work that will actually create a new reality as opposed to maintain an old reality. And your current reality is now your old reality, not because there's anything significantly wrong with it, but I know you are still not living the life you would love to be living. There is still a whole other level of wealth that you want to tap into because it provides and creates a whole other level of freedom and lifestyle that I know you imagine and think about every single day. This is your opportunity to tap into it and know that you'll finish the rest of your year in that place, as opposed to just being annoyed at yourself that you didn't do something about it earlier.
