Where I spend money to be a high-value woman with a high-end brand
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Being a high value woman with a high end brand isn't a look you put on. It's a set of decisions you make with your money, over and over, until they stop feeling like a stretch.
Today I'm taking you through exactly where mine goes, personally and inside the business, and what each of those spends is actually buying me.
In this episode, you'll learn:
- Why the car, the house and the gym membership aren't lifestyle spending, they're the environment your identity has to grow into
- What I spend on beauty and wellness, and why it changes how you walk into a room long before you've raised a single price
- The moment I started paying for videography, high end campaigns and specialists instead of doing it all myself, and what it did to my positioning
- The onboarding gift decision most women get wrong, and what a client quietly decides about you the second it arrives
- Why I book hotels and event spaces for strategy days instead of working from the kitchen table, and what happens to your thinking in a room like that.

New Series On High Value
SPEAKER_00it. Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Abundant Any Line podcast, and welcome to a new series that I decided to create and get out into the world just this week. Very manifesting generator of me. Welcome to Her Essence, which is the podcast edit and a series that I'm going to run over the next two weeks. So expect two episodes this week and two to three next week. And the series is all about how to be a high-value woman to get highly paid in your industry. Chef's Kiss. We love that. I want to share throughout this series shifts you can make to yourself, your self-concept, your identity, but also to your brand and your brand positioning because the two must coexist for you to earn more for the work you are already doing, which is the motto we love to hear. So welcome on in. Make sure you stay plugged in forever, but in particular over the next two weeks, because it will be a really focused series. I did an episode last week, as you would know, and it was all about how to be a high-value woman. So go and listen to that one if you haven't already. But that actually sparked this series because I got a lot of love from you guys saying it was an amazing episode. So I thought let's continue the momentum while we have it and turn this into a real thing because you know I love to I love chatting with you guys, I love serving you guys, and I love helping you make a lot of money. So let's do this. Now, today's episode is all about where I spend my money to be a high-value woman to be highly paid, and I wanted to share things that I spend money on personally, but also money I spend within the brand and why. So I don't want to just rattle off where my money goes. I actually want to ex want to explain why I I guess strategically spend more money on these things and in these areas of my life so that you can see where some gaps may lie, and yeah, make the assessment if it lands with you. So I thought it would be cool if we went through where I spend money personally first, and then we'll go into where I spend money within the brand to position it as a luxury high-end brand within the coaching space. Now, obviously, I am in that industry, but I think this list will really help you no matter what your industry is, if you are someone who wants to move towards the luxury high-end space within your own industry. So let's just get straight into it because the list is kind of long.
Fitness Spending For Flexibility
SPEAKER_00As I've mentioned, we'll start with the personal list. So at the top of the list is a it's my class pass membership. I think class pass is global. It's in more than it's in other countries, it's not just in Australia because I've seen it in Bali. Anyways, I have a Class Pass membership, and the reason for this is because I don't like to be restricted to one location and definitely not restricted to a limited timetable. So I typically work out in the morning. I do like to get it over and done with, but sometimes I want to have a little sleep in, or sometimes I want to have a slower morning at home and sip my coffee and read my book and do some journaling and then go and do my workout. So I like to have the flexibility to pick where I go and work out. I also love to change my workout workouts up. So sometimes I feel like a really intense therapy cycle class, which is the one I always talk about. It's a rhythm ride, cardio, sweaty, super like high intensity. Sometimes I feel like that. Other times I want to get into a hot Pilates class, other times I want to just go to a normal gym. So this ClassPass membership allows for that flexibility. I do pay more to go to these gyms because it's through ClassPass, but as I've mentioned, I love the flexibility and the versatility. I can change things up, which I like to do.
Beauty As Confidence And Output
SPEAKER_00The second thing I spend my money on personally is beauty. So I get my nails done, I get skin treatments, I get my hair done, I get my eyebrows done, and the reason I do all of this is because I like I like how it makes me feel, and when I feel good, I make more money. Now there have been many studies that have found that your presence and the way that you present will influence your productivity, your communication skills, your negotiation skills, and how you are received when you enter a room. So not only do I just naturally enjoy doing those things, I've always been a girly girl like that, but it does, it it is tied to the growth of my business, and I can really notice the difference if I don't get ready in the morning, don't put makeup on, don't really do my hair, and just have a tracky day. I just want to watch Wentworth all day on the lounge. I do notice the difference with my productivity, and I especially don't want to make content. So I guess I'm talking about getting dressed now, but yes, I like to present myself well, and I like to be a girly girl in that regard, and I just like the way those investments make me feel. So beauty products is second on the list, and it probably is up there with a bigger expense. I was telling my sister the other day how much I spend on my face, like in terms of skin treatments, like skin needling, laser genesis, and she was like, What? Yeah, well, aging is a thing. So, beauty,
Wellness For Brain And Hormones
SPEAKER_00there we have it. The third thing I spend my money on personally is wellness. Wellness that goes for my morning lineup of supplements, bone broth, my evening routine with my collagen and my tea. I'm really mindful of my inner health, and I'll explain why in a moment. I also like to go to the sauna. Um, I guess my skin treatments can also come under the wellness category. And the reason I do spend a lot of money on my wellness is because it quite literally decides your brain chemistry. Now we have what's called a vagus nerve that runs from our brain to our gut, and 80% of the information that travels to our brain and therefore influences the chemistry within our brain and therefore the thoughts we have is coming from the bottom up. So it's traveling from your gut and your other systems and sending information up to your brain, and then your brain thinks and behaves in accordance with that. And then only about 20% goes the other way. So you can't think your way into a different state of being. You need to be in a different state of being in terms of your health and your hormones, and yeah, your gut health in particular plays a huge role in that. So 80% of information is coming from your gut health and your hormones, and it's sending it up to the brain, and then that's going to influence your thoughts. So if you are unhealthy and your gut health sucks, you will probably think more limiting thoughts than the healthy person sitting next to you. So I think wellness and taking care of your gut health and taking care of your hormones is like you cannot put a price on that. But I do invest a lot of money in those areas, and yeah, it's it's important to me that I do. I actually want to plug one of the specialists who is in the collective. This is the first time we have brought her in as a specialist. Her name is Monique Took. She is a functional nutritionist working particularly with high performing, high achieving women, which is all of you, and she helps you get your health in check so that you can continue to perform to perform at the levels that you want to. Um, she's all about if you want high output, you need high input. So she really looks at your health as a as a as a holistic system to ensure it's where we need it to be so that your output is where you want it to be. So I'm gonna plug her and actually, you know what? I'm gonna link her in the show notes below. If you do want to work with her, go and see what she's up to. So that's wellness.
Travel As Freedom And Content
SPEAKER_00The next category I like to spend a lot of money on within the personal realm is travel. I love to travel, I love how it makes me feel, I love creating memories, and I love the freedom that comes with traveling. Therefore, it goes without saying I like to invest a lot of money into making the travel experience top-notch. So I like to stay in nice hotels because there's nothing like waking up in a beautiful hotel room with a view, not having to make your bed, getting coffee delivered to the room. You you can't beat that. So I like to stay in nice hotels. You can also get a lot of great content in a nice hotel, especially within my brand. One of my content pillow, one of my content pillars is my lifestyle, the travel, the freedom that I have created. So if I stay in a hotel that sucks, I don't want to capture the content, and that kind of content performs really well within my brand, and it's very much a part of my brand. One of the results I get for my clients is more freedom to travel and to create memories and to create experiences. So I like to share that with the world, and a nice hotel definitely helps with the aesthetics and the desire to do so. The other thing I like to invest in when it comes to travel, which is is airport parking. There is nothing like driving into the airport, pulling up near the door, getting out, walking in, doing your thing, coming back from wherever you've been and getting back in your car and driving home. How annoying is it when you get off a flight and then you have to get in an Uber? Especially if it's a late flight and you've been away and it's been a busy weekend and you're really tired and you just want to get home or you just want to be back in your own little comfort bubble, it sucks. So, airport parking is something that I like to invest in so that I have that convenience and that comfort, and yeah, it just makes that airport moment so much better. The other thing within the travel category that I like to invest money into is getting an airport lounge, lounge access, airport lounge access. So you can arrive at the airport and go in and have some food and some champagne and just relax before your flight. It actually saves you money in the long run because a wine or a champagne at the airport is like 15 or 20 dollars a glass. You throw some food in there, you spend so much money just on food and drink. So I've definitely, definitely, definitely made back that investment for lounge access because I do travel a lot, I'm at the airport a lot, and yeah, just not having to pay for that stuff when you get there is amazing. Plus, it's just nice to be in the lounge and yeah, look out the window, have a little champagne before you get on the flight. So that's the travel category, and that's where I spend my money within that within that
Dining As A Luxury Experience
SPEAKER_00space. The next category I like to spend a lot of money in is eating out. I love nice food, I love nice wine, especially wine served in a nice glass. And I'm not joking, I will select my restaurant based on the wine glasses they serve wine in. There is nothing more annoying than going out for dinner, ordering a nice glass of wine, and it comes out in this tiny little shit thick wine glass. The wine tastes different, I don't care what anyone says. So, yes, I love a nice restaurant, I love eating out, I love drinking wine, and I also love the experience of going out. So I was having a conversation with one of my friends about this the other day. There's a Japanese restaurant that I love on the Gold Coast, but it's always so busy. So you sit down and they immediately want to take your order. You order, and obviously, Japanese is lots of different dishes, and so I like to have a dish and then a little break and then another dish and a little break, and I like to slowly make my way through all of the dishes. But at this particular restaurant, they want to get you in and out. So the moment you sit down, you have to place your order, and then food is just flying your way, you've got to quickly get through it, and then they're like, Here's the bill, get out of here, and it's so rushed. Versus another restaurant I went to recently, which I can't think of the name of it. Damn, because if you live on the Gold Coast, the most underrated restaurant. I personally had never heard of it. Apparently, it's been there for some time. Can't think of it. Anyways, went there recently, and that was a completely different experience. So we went in, we sat up at the bar, which I love sitting up at the bar. Sat up at the bar, ordered a drink. We could just have our drink before we ordered. We ordered some entrees, they came out. We could have a little break between entrees and mains, ordered another drink, got our mains, had another drink, got some dessert. It was just an experience, and it took up our entire night. And I said, this is how going out for dinner is supposed to be. It's supposed to be a night out, an experience. So, yeah, I love the experience of going out. I love getting all dressed up and enjoying the food and enjoying the atmosphere of a buzzy restaurant and having a nice wine in a nice wine glass. It's like one of my hobbies. I was talking, you guys know I've been talking about hobbies. I spoke about hobbies last episode, and I am claiming that this is one of my hobbies: getting dressed up and going out for nice food and nice wine. Um, so yes, I like to spend money on
Convenience Plus Home And Car
SPEAKER_00that. The next thing I like to spend my money on, in saying this though, it's changed in the last couple of weeks. I've been feeling like going to do the groceries, but usually I like to get my groceries delivered, so I like to invest in the delivery of those groceries. It just saves me going to the supermarket, walking around for an hour, up and down the aisles, up and down the aisles, trying to think about what to eat for dinner, forgetting things, having to go back, getting it in the car, getting it out of the car, just a whole thing. So typically I get my groceries delivered, but I have actually been going to the supermarket lately. Just been feeling like it on a Sunday. Get a little coffee, go to Woolworths, which now has an iPad. So you can attach the iPad to the trolley, and then as you're walking around the supermarket, you can scan things on the iPad, chuck it straight in your bag, and then when you get to the checkout, you just detach the iPad, pay for it, and you're good to go. How genius is that? So that actually makes the experience a lot better, which is probably why I've been getting in there more often. Um, so yeah, haven't mined at a grocery shop recently, but usually I would invest in getting my groceries delivered. And then the final two things I love to spend my money on, which kind of goes without saying, a nice house and a nice car. Our environments really do influence our frequency, and our frequency is what's creating our reality. So I live in a suburb that I like to live in. When we moved into this house, it was fully renovated, so everything's new and fresh. I have a nice car which costs me a lot of money, but it's worth every penny. Especially, well, one, I just like nice cars, I always have. Two, that definitely did something for my identity in the earlier days of my business. And yeah, it's just really nice driving around the Gold Coast with the sunroof open, music playing, a little coffee. Again, it's an experience. We are all here for the experiences. So, yes, a nice car and a nice house. So they are some things that I spend money on personally to be a high-value woman.
Business Spending For Premium Positioning
SPEAKER_00Now I want to move on to what I spend money on within the business to have it be a high-end brand within the more luxury market within the coaching industry.
Onboarding Gifts And Client Delight
SPEAKER_00So the first thing, and this is in no particular order, the first thing is I send white roses as an onboarding gift to new clients who step into the collective. Now, I've always sent onboarding gifts to clients in my high-level mastermind. Earlier days, we used to send a branded box with a hard copy of the textbook, a little bottle of champagne, a little journal, a pen, and then a handwritten note from me, which was all amazing, but I realized we were spending a lot of money on paper that most of it was getting thrown in the bin anyway. So we shifted that. I also realized as a woman, there is nothing like getting some flowers. I agree, they are kind of a waste of money, they die within three days, and they are kind of expensive, but it's still really nice to receive a bunch of flowers, especially delivered to your door. So I thought that could be such a nice onboarding gift to send clients. And the cool thing about that is we can make them all arrive on the same day. So when I was sending these onboarding boxes, I have clients all over the world, so everyone was receiving them at all different times, and it wasn't an onboarding day altogether, but with the flowers, obviously, I can pick the delivery date. So I've got clients UK, America, Australia, New Zealand, and it means everybody receives their onboarding flowers on the same day. And this time we did onboarding flowers delivered the same day as the welcome reception. So everyone received their flowers, and then we all jumped on for the welcome reception in the collective, and it was just a beautiful onboarding experience. The reason I've chosen white roses is so it's on brand and it's cohesive across the board. A few of the women shared the flowers I sent to their Instagram. So with everyone receiving white roses, and then we reshare that to Instagram, it just makes a moment and it creates this visual, cohesive moment within the brand. So I invest in onboarding gifts for my clients. I also invest in gifts for my clients at the immersion. So the immersion is something we do at the end of the collective here on the Gold Coast. We book out a beautiful luxury hotel, which I'm going to talk about, and we have three days of celebration, transformation, speaker panels. It's it's in it's amazing. I'll talk about it in a sec. So they also receive a gift at that, and this year we all stayed at the same hotel. So I had the gift in their room before they checked in. So when they checked into their room, the beautiful gift was sitting on their bed ready to go. They got a beautiful hand cream, a beautiful candle, a handwritten note because I love writing handwritten notes to my clients. What else did we have in there? I can't remember now. Anyways, little bits and bobs in there, and yeah, we had it sitting on the bed when they arrived. Um, so yeah, I love investing in beautiful gifts for my clients because receiving gifts is so nice, and also it's it's what makes this a premium brand because it's not transactional, you're not just getting a service, you are a part of something, and it's something you can touch and
Launch Campaigns With Story And Aesthetic
SPEAKER_00feel. And yeah, I just love it. So I invest in onboarding gifts for my clients and also gifts for them at the end. The next thing I spend money on is launch campaigns within the business. So, as you guys know, we do live launches throughout the year. So I'll open enrollment up for one of my spaces or open applications up for one of my spaces. You have a limited time to apply. If you're in, amazing doors close and everything's closed down until we launch again. I do that for masterclasses, I run for intent. I run for my mastermind spaces for programs, like everything has a live launch, and I just enjoy doing it that way. So I create a campaign for every launch, and every campaign has its own theme, has its own story, and own location. So we map this out before, and then we find a location that really matches the story. So, for example, the Art of Alua was a masterclass that I did at the start of the year, and the theme for that was European. So we found a location on the Gold Coast which has buildings that look very European, and went there and shot some content. We found a cafe that had really European-looking chairs. I used a filter over the top that was like old money, and yeah, we created this European story of me walking in, eating my croissant, opening up a newspaper. We also got that and having European music in the background of all of the content for that campaign. Other ones I've done, so this was for premium client attraction, which is a course you can get on demand in my world, and that was very vintage, very old money. So I did that shoot actually at my parents' house in their lounge room. So lots of antique furniture in the background. I wore lots of dark tones. I was drinking red wine out of this vintage wine glass, and all of the music we used was vintage old money style music, and so it told the story of me being in this elegant lounge room, sipping my red wine, old money vibes. Um, so yeah, every campaign has a story and a location and an aesthetic, the music always matches, the name, the fonts, like all of it is so
Luxury Hotels For Immersions And Strategy
SPEAKER_00on purpose. So I do put some money into that, and I love how extra that makes the brand. The next thing I invest in within the brand is where the client emotions are, so the locations of our client emotions, and we do them at hotels as opposed to typical event spaces. And the reason I wanted to do that was so one, the view is insane. So obviously, I'm in the Gold Coast, and these hotels have insane views of the ocean. Also, I love the intimate feeling of a hotel room, and we can just all hang out there for the weekend. So they get their own rooms separate, but we all come back to this the big suite for the three days we are together, and that has continued to elevate over the years. We had the most recent one at a luxury hotel in Burley, and that was so beautiful. Go and look at the content for that if you haven't already. So, really investing in these high-end luxury hotels to host my client immersions and going the extra mile with the decorations and the props and the and the setup of these spaces, like spending a lot of money on the flowers that were around the suite, the food we eat. So we have Italian, we have nice wine, we had a beautiful platter, and then always having someone up there with us to capture the content for the marketing of all of that. So, yeah, investing in locations for immersions. I also like to invest in nice hotels for strategy days. So I typically do this at the start of the year and I try and get there mid-year. I actually want to do one in the next few weeks. Book a nice hotel for a couple of nights, lock myself in the room, order room service, play music, have a little wine, and just map out the direction for the brand. I again like to do this at the start of the year because I like to do a huge new year plan where I map out when the launches will be, when the campaigns will be, any guests we want to get on the podcast. Are we doing an event? If so, when, and just have that fully mapped out and in the calendar. And there's nothing like the creativity that comes when you are 21 stories high looking out over the ocean in a beautiful hotel room with your big brown piece of paper just mapping out the vision. So I like to invest in doing that one to two times per year, where I just lock myself to the hotel room and do some strategy within the
Mentorship And Continuous Skill Growth
SPEAKER_00business. Now, the next thing I invest in, which kind of goes without saying, it's mentorship. So since day one, I have invested in mentorship. Mindset coaches, business coaches, each of them have leaned into different specialities. So marketing, messaging, manifestation. I've always invested to continue to learn and grow because, as we know, our business will only grow as much as we do. Plus, I love to learn. I think that's the lawyer coming out in me. I love learning new things, I love watching lectures and classes and taking notes, highlighting. I love it. So I get myself into these spaces to learn new knowledge, strengthen my skills, be expanded, and again, that goes without saying it's being worth every penny. Alongside working with mentors, I've also invested in like certifications and courses and things like that. Again, just so that I'm constantly getting better for you guys and growing myself and my strength so that I can pour more into
Videography And Fresh Content Assets
SPEAKER_00all of you. Okay, the next thing I invest in is professional videography. I love, I love beautiful video, crisp, crisp audio, crisp video. I love it, I love it. So I invest in videography and yeah, love, love doing that. I'm actually gonna link um the videographer that I use here on the Gold Coast if if you if you need a referral in that regard, go and um go and inquire with her. She was incredible. Um she actually shot the Make It a Moment event that we did in February, and that content was amazing. So I love investing in professional videography. I also have a camera, so if I'm not working with a videographer, I will usually have my camera with my microphone and capturing content that way. Again, especially if it is for a campaign or launch material, things like that. Okay, two more. The next thing is oh, I actually kind of spoke about this. The next thing on my list was regular shoots. Oh, actually, not really, because that was talking about campaigns. Okay, regular shoots. So I will book out studios throughout the year and get fresh marketing material. I always make sure the studio I book is in alignment with the brand color palette and the aesthetics of the brand and it has good lighting. That is the most important thing. But yes, I will get into a studio a few times over the year just to update all of the assets within the business and just give us fresh content. There is nothing like fresh content. If you are feeling a little bit ugh when it comes to your content, I would highly recommend going to do a shoot in a beautiful location and get yourself some fresh photos and some fresh videos. I can guarantee that will bring your spark back and you'll be really excited to share all of it. So yeah, invest in these studios over the course of the year and have done that since day one. That was an investment that I was willing to make from day one because I know the power in good content
Specialists That Raise Client Results
SPEAKER_00and marketing. And then the final thing I invest in within the business is the people you get access to in my spaces. So this is a newer thing we have done in the collective, but when you are in the collective, you get access to specialists: a psychic, a functional nutritionist, a sole contract reader, human design expert. They don't just do a workshop, you actually get access to them, you work alongside them. So, yes, I invest in these high-level specialists so you can learn from them. And I think this is such an incredible thing that we do in my high-level space because there are so many areas that you need to master to have a multi-six-figure, seven-figure business. You can't just be incredible with mindset and forget the rest. You can't just have great marketing and forget the rest. I I not not I think, I know you need to take care of all areas within your business. And I believe if you were investing a lot of money into a mastermind, you should get access to all of that as opposed to paying a lot of money just for the marketing assistance, and then having to pay a lot of money just for the mindset assistance and a lot of money for the PR. You know what I mean? So, in the collective, I invest into these specialists so that you can get access to them. And what I will say is I have done this from day one in that I've always brought incredible people into my spaces. Um, how that has looked has evolved over the years, but I've always given my clients access to people outside of me, especially if my strength doesn't lie there. Again, when you're investing a lot of money with me, I want you to walk away completely different. And if I can't do that for you, I will find someone who can. I also realized we needed to bring these top-level specialists in because it's a great problem to have. But I had clients come to me after making so much money in their business and asking the question, what do I do with this money now? in terms of wealth creation and investing, and that's not within my wheelhouse. So I want to give you access to someone who can say, invest here, do that. Um, again, PR, I want to get you in the right rooms, and I can share how I have done that and I can recommend things, but again, I'm not a PR expert, so you get access to that. So yeah, I just want you to get access to specialists and experts who can make sure that when you're making a shitload of money, which I help you do, it's being circulated and invested the right way. When we talk about getting you in the right rooms because you are a superstar at what you do, there's some strategy behind that. When I talk about taking care of your health, I don't just say go and eat better, I actually give you access to someone who can help you take care of your gut health and hormones from a very bespoke lens. Like, yeah, you get access to it to specialists, and investing in that is something that again is worth every penny, and I'm very proud to say that we do.
Final Takeaways And Series Tease
SPEAKER_00So that's my list. That's my list of things that I spend money on personally and within the brand to be a high-value woman, to be highly paid. And hopefully, there are some things in there that you can also implement, or maybe it's expanded your way of thinking when it comes to spending your money, and at least just seeing some tweaks you can make to really elevate yourself and your brand across the board. So there we have it. I guess let's call that episode one of her essence. As I've mentioned, stay locked in for the next couple of weeks as we continue to explore other topics that do fall under this umbrella of being a high value woman to be highly paid. So I will see you or speak to you in the next episode. I appreciate you all so much. Have the best rest of your day.
